Our short break services are provided in care packages, which include support for children and young people (SEN) in their own homes, assistance with activities, or socializing with friends in the community. Each care package is a component of a personalized care/support plan. The offerings of our short breaks Services include:

• Daytime care in the home or elsewhere
• Overnight care in the home or elsewhere
• Specialist activities during the evenings, weekends and school holidays.

The goal is to provide support for children and young people with SEND as well as their families, to foster resilience and promote independent living to the greatest extent possible.

Our short breaks services focus on early help and respite support to meet the needs of children and young people, enhance the well-being of the child and their family. We provide person-centred short break services for children and young people. Each child is valued, listened to and respected, 

Our respite care services provide parents and caregivers with an opportunity to take a well-deserved break from their caregiving responsibilities, allowing them to rest, rejuvenate, and enjoy quality time with other family members and friends. 

We provide therapeutic support to children and young people under our care. Our therapeutic support workers are here to listen and delve into your feelings and experiences within a secure environment, free from judgment. This is an opportunity to talk about any challenges or distress you might be facing or have faced previously. 
 

Our key work session and counselling can help you to accept the things that you cannot change and help you to bring about the changes that are possible. We offer engagement through physical activities, including a variety of sports such as football, trampolining, swimming, golf, and day center activities. Our respite carers are dedicated to planning and facilitating these outdoor activities to captivate and involve the young person. Our services are diverse, inclusive and responsive, with staff demonstrating that they cater to the individual needs and aspirations of children and their families. 

Transportation

We are able to transport children and young people to and from anywhere in Berkshire to the activity of their choice.  Whenever we transport someone, we ensure they are safe, comfortable and treated with the highest level of dignity and respect, no matter their circumstances.
