Supervised Contact Support

What we do

Golden Aura Care provides family time services for children who are looked after by the local authority to have safe contact with their parents and wider family.  We offer supervised contact and supported services that ensure a secure, nurturing, and child-friendly setting, facilitating positive interactions between children, their parents, siblings, and extended family members. We facilitate direct sessions between children and their birth family in a safe and child friendly environment. 


 We currently provide contact supervision for many families within Berkshire. We operate throughout Berkshire and remain open to referrals from other out of county local authorities. Our support extends to local authorities and children's services in Reading, Slough, West Berkshire, and Windsor/Maidenhead.


Supervised contact services provide a structured and secure environment for children to maintain positive relationships with a parent or family member they don’t live with full-time.


Our contact workers are committed to safeguarding and promoting the development and wellbeing of children. Our team of dedicated social care workers have the welfare of children and families at the heart of all they do. They undergo consistent training and supervision, stemming from diverse professional backgrounds in social care, which allows us to pair the worker with the family's specific needs consistently.


All of our staff who have direct contact with the children have an up to date DBS, which are kept up to date. All of our Contact Supervisors have attended child protection and/or safeguarding training.

  • Skilled family workers
  • Available at different times      
  • Able to provide transport for children and adults
  • Good listeners 
  • Impartiality 
  • Skilled report writers
  • Reports are made for the referrer. 


Our experienced team is qualified and trained to ensure that our services are delivered smoothly and safely. We can assist parents in building and sustaining positive relationships between themselves and their child.

  • Community contacct
  • Assessment day sessions including a full written report for court. 


A cost-effective supervised session

Our goal is to keep families together whenever possible, offering a versatile service ranging from just an hour a week to 24 hours supervision.


  • Provide a safe, secure and supportive environment for the child/children 


  • Provide professional, trained and impartial supervisors and service staf 


  • Encourage parents and family members to use the service and the centre to support them and their children .


  • Provide advice and guidance to parents and family members regarding the care, support, and welfare of their child/children.

We offer community supervised and supported sessions, which can take place over the weekends, on those families assessed as low risk 


Our team provides support to both children and parents during community outings, which include trips to local parks, shops, restaurants, and cafes, as a part of our commitment to helping families strengthen

We conduct ourselves impartially and without bias to protect the child from the impact of ongoing proceedings. This involves monitoring conversations and evaluating the relationship.

We will support social work teams to undertake welfare visits where there are safeguarding concerns, while the child stays in the family home. These visits are primarily carried out of hours, predominantly on weekends.

Welfare reports will be written and shared with the social worker by the next working day. Our staff will ensure they notify Out of Hours in case of emergencies and significant safeguarding concern 




Safe Escort & Transport

We offer and provide high quality safe escort and transportation services for both adults and children with special needs and disabilities. Our escorts provide care and supervision of children travelling in local authority vehicles, when transferring from home to school and from school to home, or other agreed place We can provide transportation. All children and young people will be safely transported to and from the Family Time visit. Coordination with the foster carer and social worker will ensure that a staff member is accompanying the child.
